Being A Christian Is Like Being A Pumpkin

My former assistant, Paula, sent this to me:

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside, and scoops out all the yucky stuff... including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

Maid To Match Cover Unveiled

The cover for my new June historical, Maid To Match, has been unveiled!

Tillie Reese is a parlor maid who's in contention for becoming Mrs. Vanderbilt's lady's maid--the highest ranking position a female servant can hold other than housekeeper. All is going according to plan until the Vanderbilts hire a new man.

In the Gilded Age, a male servant's uppermost qualifications were height, brawn and good looks. Mack Danver has all three. He waltzes into the Vanderbilt's Biltmore chateau in North Carolina and sweeps Tillie off her feet.

Problem is, all house servants are required to remain unmarried or they lose their jobs. Will Tillie pursue the coveted lady's maid position, or are she and Mack made to match?

If you head over to our Chat Room, you can see the discussion where I talked about what actress I modeled Tillie after. Then, ya'll helped me decide on who to model the hero after!

To join in the discussion, go here, click on the telephone and then once you're in the Chat Room, click on "Chat with Dee" and look for "Need A Hero."

Yearbook Yourself

I "yearbooked" myself. Have you seen this website? You superimpose your face on different yearbook pictures to see what you would have looked like in high school back in the day.  Here are some of mine:

LOL! You can do couples, girlfriends and all kinds of things.  And you know what's scary? That 1978 pic looks a lot like my real pic in my high school yearbook!!! What about you? Does your yearbookyourself.com pic look anything like your graduation photo in your real yearbook?
