Book Cover Contest
Courting Trouble is up for Book Cover of the Year. If you'd like to vote for it or one of the other covers nominated, click here then find the book cover you like and click on it. An email message will open up. Don't change the subject line and blank messages are fine.
VOTING CLOSES FRIDAY, FEB. 27!
Also, don't forget that if you leave a comment on my blog between now and March 13, you'll be eligible to win the FREE 3-DAY PASS (a $59 value) to the Christian Book Expo. But don't wait until then to register. Go ahead and register and if you win we'll reimburse you for your registration fee!
If you already know you can't make it to Dallas at that time, still leave a comment and you will be given a consolation prize. (That prize is still being worked out, so I'll tell you what it is when all the details are finalized. Hopefully that will be next week!)

New Grand-pet
Our 18 yo really wants a dog, but doesn't have enough padding in his bank account for all that would be required, so he got himself a mouse, or as the pet stores call it, a "fancy mouse." And he's the cutest thing. Our son named him Pikachu (after a beloved Pokemon character) and little Pikachu spends hours and hours on his treadmill.
Speaking of Pokemon, our son and his roommates are currently watching the DVD seasons of Pokemon from beginning to end. For his birthday, Greg and I gave him a Pokemon duvet and a pair of adult-sized Pikacho slippers (all compliments of eBay). I tried to find a Pokemon shower curtain, but didn't have any luck.
I'm afraid I can't really tease our son about his fixation with Pokemon, or our 22 yo daughter about her fixation with Veggie Tales & Disney or our 21 yo son's fixation with Spiderman or our 19 yo daughter's fixation with Batman. Not when their mama is the proud owner of everything Disney. Guess the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, eh?
What about you? What are your favorite cartoons?

FYI
Just wanted you to know I'm over at Bustles and Spurs today. Hope to see you there!
P.S. Pet Contest Update: We have finished the collaborative manuscript that involves the pets, but I don't want to announce any winners of the contest yet, because the book has to go through a revision process. So, it will be several months before I know for certain. But, I definitely included some of your pets and I so wish I could have included them all!
