I Love Being A Christian
I love Easter. Such a wonderful celebration of our Savior's resurrection! Our pastor gave one of the best sermon's of his life this weekend. I'm so full of joy and thanksgiving that Christ is who He says He is and that He cares so, so much about me and you and all of creation. It reminded me of this:
You might have seen it on the web, but if not ... (to enlarge the picture, right click and open in a new window) ...

And beyond our sun ...

Antares is the 15th brightest star in the universe. It is more than 1000 light years away.
Now think about how "big" you and I are. Yet God knows how many hairs are on our heads and not even a single sparrow dies apart from His will. (Mt. 10:29-31)
Yeah. I love Easter. :)

The winner of our ARC for the week of April 6th was Adrienne from Fayetteville, Georgia. Congrats, Adrienne! Last week's winner is currently being notified. So now we start all over again.
If you want a chance to win an ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) of my May release, A Bride in the Bargain, then leave a comment here on my blog between now (April 13) and Sunday (April 19). We'll pick a new winner on Monday (April 20) and then go for another round. So, be sure to check in again and good luck!

Our Chat Room is under attack by spammers. We are going to take it off-line until we can beef up the security. We hope to be back online tomorrow, but no later than Wednesday. Sorry about that!! ... Okay. We think we've got the problem fixed. So, we're live again. Thanks for your patience!

Those pictures are great. I've never really known the sizes of all the planets in comparison to each other or the Sun and other stars. That's insane! Please enter me for the ARC! :)

Ohhh....sweet naive Boots. One camera on one mailbox will not protect her (my) ARC. I've already hacked into the shipping trackers and sceduled an "accidental delay"(that is what the shippers will call it) for tomorrow. MMAAAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! So, Adrienne, lucky for you I'm a fast reader and you will recieve your ARC in about a week. I might even hand deliever it so that there are no other delays. Aren't I a sweetheart?

Mary, I will be at the RWA national convention in DC this summer. I'm doing a presentation on How Book Covers Are Made and I'll also be signing at the Literacy benefit. Be sure to stop by and tell me you're a member of my online community so I can give you a Dee's Circle of Friends pin!

My Englischer friend commented that she remembers creating such a science project with the planets during her schoolin' years ... Science is not a subject that the Amish are schooled in, so I did not learn much on the subject. The planets and stars intrigue me ...

ABBY...You can hack into the shipping trackers? You can read a book in a week? You are a sweetheart? What is this "naive" you speak of??? Soooooo many questions...so little time to answer them. You know if I win AGAIN...I will get to keep this one...our deal was only valid through the last blog(it's in the fine print...always read the fine print...hehehe). You won't be able to steal and read my copies cause I will have my invisible ninja monkeys guarding them...how about that for "naive"??? 8~)

I was curious, Deeanne, now that the release date is growing every so near, is your daughter gettin' excited? After all, she's our beautiful cover girl and millions of readers are going to see the beautiful cover she did to represent her mother's (to be sure a bestseller!). That was such a fun idea to have your daughter be the cover model!

Leah, I'm not sure but that I'm more excited than my daughter. It is so, so special to have her on the cover. She's off at college, so I don't get to see her very much. But we email and text and talk when we can. I wish I could be with her the first time she sees herself on the shelf. That will be so fun!
