Valentine's Day
Greg & I are thinking about skipping Valentine's Day this year. He just returned from Scotland and leaves for Africa in another few days. We went out to dinner with a good buddy last night, our daughter has a soccer game tonight, we have Bible study tomorrow night, then soccer again on Friday night. So, we both just want to, well, do nothing.
I'm sure flowers and chocolate will play a role, but beyond that, we just want to sit and chill.
That being the case, I'll have to live vicariously through you. What are your plans? Tell us about your special night.

Valentine's Day is also my daughter's birthday. She's going to be five this year. I told her she could invite her cousin over to spend the night, but when I called my sister-in-law I somehow ended up inviting all three of my nieces tp a sleepover. We'll be getting a heart-shaped pizza and going to an indoor play place and build-a-bear. Not exactly romantic, but Dan and I get to go out tomorrow night and we just had our anniversary, so I'm good.

I'm with you...why does it always have to be dressed up? I think I would rather just spend some down-time with my husband. After some of our work weeks, it would be nice to just be together without having to go or be somewhere! (But...there had better be CHOCOLATE!!!!! Lol!)

Chilling is a good thing. Todd and I are going to dinner and then to see Shane and Shane with Bethany Dillon tonight with another couple. Not precisely romantic, but definitely enjoyable. I don't like to ditch my kids two nights in a row so tomorrow night will just be the four of us, probably with a heart-shaped chocolate cake.
